Give local traffic a shorter route.
Consider peering, transport between sites and, where needed, network protection as a separate service in one design built around your audience, routes and traffic profile.
01Local traffic consumes paid transit capacity.
Connect to SNS-IX and establish BGP with available members directly or through route servers, subject to each network’s peering policy.
02Network growth needs new transport between sites.
Survey routes and design L2VPN, fiber connections and cross-connects with agreed bandwidth and redundancy.
03Volumetric attacks saturate external links.
Design BGP diversion to L3/L4 scrubbing, agree detection thresholds and validate the return path for clean traffic.
Build the solution with
Peering is the core SNS-IX service. Anti-DDoS and WAF are separate services; an IX port does not include them by default. Cybersecurity, L2VPN, CDN and cloud are not part of the port either; the solution scope is agreed for each project.
What the solution is designed to improve
- Less transit dependence for suitable local traffic.
- A defined path for expanding ports and transport; network protection is added as a separate service.
What to bring to the discussion
- ASN, prefixes and main traffic destinations
- Site addresses, bandwidth and redundancy requirements
- Peak traffic and current DDoS protection design
Public peering requires a public ASN, address space and BGP readiness. Member availability, ports and physical routes are checked before connection.
