EdgeNext Deploys Major Node at SNS-IX
A major EdgeNext node has been deployed on SNS-IX infrastructure, enhancing local content availability and improving service delivery quality for users in Uzbekistan and neighboring regions. Hosting international platform nodes at an Internet Exchange Point is one of the most effective ways to reduce latency, stabilize connections, and decrease reliance on external routes.
Content delivery localization allows operators and service providers to achieve more predictable performance: traffic travels via shorter and more stable paths, the likelihood of quality degradation due to external transit segments decreases, and the user experience becomes more stable — especially during peak load periods.
Parallel to the development of the CDN ecosystem, SNS-IX is reinforcing its approach to network security as an integral part of stable infrastructure. As traffic and the number of connections grow, the importance of early anomaly detection and risk mitigation related to network attacks, overloads, and unwanted traffic increases.
"The development of CDN infrastructure at SNS-IX is complemented by a comprehensive approach to network security. This approach helps participants gain not only accelerated content delivery but also a more reliable network environment. SNS-IX will continue to expand its pool of technology partners and raise service levels."Nasirdinov Ma’ruf - Head of Sales.
As part of platform development, we focus on four practical directions: monitoring of network events and anomalies at the infrastructure level, basic malicious traffic filtering for network cleanliness, countermeasures against DDoS attacks and network overloads, as well as recommendations and practices for secure network integration for participants. These measures help make the traffic exchange environment more resilient and manageable.
The deployment of the EdgeNext node and the strengthening of security services are part of the SNS-IX strategy to develop local internet infrastructure: more content within the country, higher delivery quality, more stable routing, and more reliable operations. SNS-IX will continue to expand its pool of technology partners and develop services that improve the efficiency and security of participant networks.
